The Foundation aims at empowering the deprived through self-reliance in tune with the vision of Indiraji

Vision
The ultimate goal is the formation of a society sans class and creed differences.  Our unflinching commitment is to arm the backward class, especially women and children, to occupy the centre-stage of society.  We dedicate ourselves to secure social justice for the marginalized sections.

Women Empowerment
The Foundation is working for empowering women through employment.  The thrust is on conducting self-employment training programmes.  Self-reliance is the first step to the world of financial freedom and economic utilizing the available natural resources so that the poor as well as the Tribal and Backward Class women would gain the capability to lead a healthy life and also question the social inequality and injustice.

Community Based Structures
The formation of 600 women self-help groups has helped the foundation to reach to the poor and also help then to take up novel ventures.  So far the SHGs have conducted employment generating programmes such as making paper bags, bamboo-based products, milk products, doll-making, waste material craft, file-making, candle and agarbathy a variety of other products.

Indira Gandhi Research and Development Centre
The research centre encourages young talent to take up path-breaking initiatives in new areas of social development to find out scope for eradicating social stigma, poverty, jobs for the poor, mainly women, optimum use of natural resources, ecological conservation, geriatric studies, rehabilitation of HIV victims, sex workers and unwed mothers, legal assistance to check women harassment, nutritional programmes for women, counseling for prison inmates and a variety of other areas too. The following are our proposed centers aimed at complementing our research activities.  At present we are running a Family Self-Help Project Micro Finance promotional Centre Entrepreneurial Training Centre National Library
