Activities

The Main Aim of this organization is to work for the welfare of the state in unanimity and to engage in social service by working for the betterment of the under privileged, that is weaker section of women, rural poor etc. For achieving this our purpose is to realizing definite programmes and is essentially an action - oriented and goal oriented without considering race, gender, religion etc.

The vivacious activities undertaken by INF has no bars and boundaries.

Research and Development

Our research can be defined as the search for knowledge and being innovative, we have a zest to experiment newer methods to development and prosperity. Our first initiative for this is mainly based in the field of medicines which is a new arena of identification of disease by noticing the changes in finger patients with chronic disease in comparison with a control group.

Empowerment Activities

Usually Empowerment refers to increasing the spiritual, political, social or economic strength of individuals and communities. But we believes that empowerment involves the total development of confidence in their capacities which enable them to be self -reliant

Women Empowerment

Though India is developing economically and technologically by leaps and bounds, women here still continue to be discriminated.
Empowering women to participate fully in economic life across all sectors and throughout all levels of economic activity is essential to build strong economics and establish more stable and just societies. It also propels countries to achieve their internationally agreed goals for development,sustainability and human right as well as improve the quality of life for women, men, families and communities.
‘Vanitha Vedhi’ aimed for Women Empowerment aims at developing  and enhancing soft skills. Every year we trained nearly 4000 beneficiaries, by giving apt training for them and nearly across of 50 SHGs were formed so far which become a livelihood for many of the families.

Youth Empowerment

 India’s current demographic profile is heavily loaded in the favour of youth. Hence the development of India is inextricably linked with the development of youth.
The main objective of youth welfare activities is to encourage and support active participation of youth in the process of socially valuable and development of personality of the youth by utilizing their positive energy. Efforts are being made to provide youth with ample opportunities to develop their skills, capabilities, personality and become good citizens of the country. In order to give an insight to youth on the functioning  and management  of youth  related activities and programmes and also to develop their personality and  leadership qualities, our organization organize  camps and youth festivals.

Rural Empowerment

It is often said that India lives in its villages. The rural areas  are characterized  by large scale poverty, low levels of productivity, lack of adequate basic minimum  service and social reforms. Upliftment of rural areas is the need for the advancement of modern world. The reasons attributed to the failure  in achieving  the desired  objectives is the lack of appropriate orientation of our rural development programs. A need was felt by  our organization to empower the rural folk  so as to promote infrastructure for improving the quality of life of rural  masses  through income generation programmes and awareness camps. When implementing skill development training we give preferences to the rural masses.

Tribal Empowerment

Projects are being submitted to subsequent Ministries to awaken them as they  are the most deprived masses in the society. This will be the most highlighted programme of us in the coming years.

Other  Activities

Our organization have always being a permanent support to the poor.

As a routine we always the supply Uniforms, Note Book and study essential, for students from poor families during the School Opening seasons, and essentials commodities to poor families during festive season.

Literacy Programmes

Literacy is the ability to read and write its regional language. They are the basic indicator of the  level of development achieved by the society. Kerala’s rural literacy rate  is comparable to its urban literacy rate as NGO and other voluntary agencies got involved in campaigning literacy programmes along with the government authorities. INF supports government in running post literacy and continuing education programmes with the objectives of total eradication of illiteracy in well defined areas. Our literacy programmes are mainly concentrated in backward areas of Pathanamthitta, Kasargode and Wynadu.

Helping Hospital Management

In Government Hospital where poor people go for aid in emergency conditions while dealing with human life finance is an important necessity. INF, provide in apt times immediate resources to aid people in initial situation. For that we have created a close connection with Hospital administration to aid the poor where they will inform us about the immediate need. Our services in hospital management includes providing immediate medicine in palliative care units, Intensive care Units and for poor people undergoing treatment. We used to conduct Medical Camps in remote rural areas of many districts of Kerala to aid the rural poor.

As Medicines for cancer is very expensive our mission is to provide steadily all the necessary Medicines requires to solace the ailments of this dreadful disease in all the cancer treatment centres without any Lag

Rehabilitation of  HIV infected, Alcoholics and Drug Abusers

INF always  have special  concern  for these category of people. The effects drugs, alcohol and aids have on our society are disastrous. Millions of lives have been ruined and many lives ended before their time. We are dedicated to helping   people  who are infected with HIV, addicted to drugs and alcohol to get through a successful rehabilitation program  that will change  their lives of their families. We have connected to well known rehabilitation centres so as to enable  immediate treatment
and thus can begin a new and better way of life. Likewise we have helped  thousands of people.

Helping Disability People

INF has undertaken many activities for providing services to disabled people. We supplies wheel chairs for handicapped persons and also artificial limbs for accident struck men  who are unable to meet its expenses.

Family counseling

The joy of life is complete with a family around us counseling for family is a group effort to overcome for the family as whole. Counseling is available to solve marital problems and improve communication. We provide counseling to solve the problems of SHG members in order to ease out the tension and reduce stress due to unsolved familial pressures.

Road Safety Programmes

Though most people who are riding the vehicles have license and know driving very well, they do not aware of the road safety rules. To make them aware of the road safety rules, we conducted  two programmes in Trivandrum  in which Personalities from the Transport Department delivered lectures to the heavy vehicle  drivers of the city to inculcate  the rules that they should follow while driving. The two awareness programmes took place in the INF Office only.
