About Us

Indira Gandhi national foundation is a National Non - Governmental Organisation accredited to the United Nations which got registered in 1998. This registered Organisation is having a vivid history of Voluntary service of a decade since its inception from 1998. The foundation conducts intensive training programmes for sustainable women's development, skill upgradation and training for various segments mainly the weaker sections, using innovative methodologies and ensuring convergence of the existing systems enforcing the need to be self - reliant.

Being our idol, late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi's dreams and vision for better India is our aim. All ventures are being taken up in accordance with the ideals of Indiraji.

Vision

Our vision is to develop zest and zeal in voluntary social service and to frame a scientific approach to ensure distributive justice search for alternative solutions to regain the confidence of common people on voluntary organization.

Mission

Our mission is to prepare young men and women volunteers to act as leaders for the promotion of the society and to play a creative role to ensure freedom to expression, respect for human rights, acceptance of civil responsibilities, pluralism and mutual understanding

Objectives of the Organization

    1. To establish training centers to train unemployed members to start self employment and to generate employment opportunity.

    2. To organize study classes for the uneducated, neo-literates, etc.

    3. To work for the state in unanimity and to engage in social service by Working for the betterment of under privileged.

    4. To establish libraries, Reading rooms, organize lectures and seminars, and to bring out publication for the members in order to promote literary skill.

    5. To design and implement rural development and welfare project for the enhancement of productivity of the rural youth, women and other disadvantaged section like Scheduled castes, Tribes and other backward class.

    6. To attain social and economic empowerment and thereby a self reliant family through the unification of families on interdependent lines.

    7. To identify employment ventures.

    8. To devise entrepreneurial development schemes.

    9. Providing facility for education with unconditional orders.

    10. To set up industrial and agricultural ventures under the supervision of self- reliant groups and to devise and formulate measures including marketing for laying the foundation of family empowerment and for sustaining the same.

    11. To develop agricultural industrial and educational relationship for the identification and maintenance of the value of self reliance in family and social environment.

    12. To provide literacy for the illiterates, adult education and neo-literate.

    13. To provide facility to develop both in economic and social through implementing sustainable projects.
